Some of our patients’ experiences with MonaLisa Touch:

Why our center?

Dr. Gittens founded Rockwell Centers for Sexual Medicine previously Centers for Sexual Medicine in Philadelphia, New York and Lehigh Valley  to provide patients with the highest quality of care and a place to discretely address their sexual medical concerns. The Mona Lisa Touch is available in his Philadelphia and Allentown (Lehigh Valley) offices.  The centers focus on complete vaginal and sexual health, unlike other practices, that focus only on the procedure. Vaginal dryness, for instance, can be associated with many other conditions such as hormone deficiency, pain with intercourse, and low sexual desire or lack of orgasms.

We spend a  significant amount of time in order to make an accurate diagnosis and decide the best treatment plan for the best results. This is unlike other centers where you may not see the physician for the evaluation or the treatments. If needed, we also provide help with problems with decreased desire, orgasm, and bio-identical hormone replacement.

How Mona Lisa Touch Laser Work (Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley)

The MonaLisa Touch is a fractional CO2 laser that gently stimulates the production of the vaginal wall tissue improving functionality. The MonaLisa Touch treatment takes just 45 seconds, requires no medications and is painless*. It is a minimally invasive treatment that is performed in the office and requires no anesthesia.

For maximum benefit it is performed in three treatments, each approximately four to six weeks apart. This proven technology restores the tone to the vagina, increases blood flow and lubrication. It promotes vaginal lining revitalization and the return of vaginal health.

*Individual results and experiences may vary

*The Mona Lisa is not FDA approved for restorative or regeneration for the vagina

The video below illustrates how the MonaLisa Touch works:

The treatment is designed to stimulate and promote the regeneration of collagen fibers and the restoration of hydration and elasticity within the vaginal lining. The new collagen results in increasing moisture, elasticity and improving lubrication*. It also returns the pH of the vagina back to the levels of before the reduction of estrogen with the potential effect of decreasing urinary tract infections*.

Dr. Gittens adjusts the settings of the MonaLisa Touch for each woman depending on their needs.
