Dr. Gittens is one of the country’s leading specialists in sexual function for men and women, hormone replacement, male infertility and wellness. He is a board certified urologist, fellowship trained specifically in sexual medicine and male infertility. He is also  a clinical associate professor in obstetrics and gynecology. He founded the Rockwell Centers for Sexual Medicine  & Wellness in Philadelphia, New York, and Lehigh Valley (formerly Centers for Sexual Medicine) – to provide patients a place with expert care, where they can discreetly address their sexual medical concerns without being rushed or waiting hours to see a physician.

An expert in the field, Dr. Gittens takes the time to provide an unmatched level of individualized care by listening to his patients and devising personalized treatment plans.

Prior to Rockwell Centers he was an assistant professor of urology and obstetrics and gynecology, and was the director of sexual dysfunction, male fertility and andrology at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. Where he lectured and advised physicians. He received his postgraduate general surgery and urological surgery training at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.

Dr. Gittens went on to complete one of the most highly regarded fellowships in sexual and reproductive medicine where he focused on reproductive medicine, sexual dysfunction, hormone replacement and microsurgery.

For men with erectile dysfunction he focuses on allowing them to regain their natural erections and not just treating the symptoms. He also specializes in treating low testosterone, chronic testicular pain, Peyronie’s disease, premature ejaculation, and penile rehabilitation after radical prostatectomy and radiation therapy. He also treats men with a history of anabolic steroid use that have problems with infertility, decrease libido and sexual function.

For women, he specializes in female sexual medicine which includes low sexual desire, pain with intercourse and hormone replacement therapy. He also treats women for symptoms of menopause, vaginal dryness and he has a sexual health after cancer program dedicated to women who have been treated for breast cancer or a number of other conditions.
